How I long for summer weather...

It's been snowing like crazy and since I'm currently residing in a small city, it means that EVERYTHING is closed due to the weather. Of course with my luck, I only find out that the entire university campus is closed AFTER I get there...AFTER I had dragged myself through the snow (which is piled up to my knees).

So this is what I get for trying to be a good student and diligently studying at the library!

I just feel like hibernating for the rest of winter...but I will have to brave the storm once again for my exam tomorrow....at 9 frickin AM!!!

I'm finally going home for a week before my exams! *__*

I'll be just in time for my friend's 19th birthday. We'll be celebrating with *cough* small quantities of alcohol *cough* and an anime marathon. I think we'll be watching Card Captor Sakura, hehe..~

But most importantly, I'll finally be able to eat some REAL food! XD

And so it happens that I spend another Halloween night reminiscing on how much fun I used to have dressing up and waltzing from door to door singing happy birthday to candy givers. At least this year I don't have to burst my brains writing two exams on this very night.

But it seems that all plans for an exciting outing or party have went down the drain. And that, is because my friends and I share the incorrigible habit of procrastination. Ohoho. And it just happens that our professors conveniently arranged for pretty much every assignment to be due tomorrow.

I finally finished Okami!! ...and now I'm addicted to FFXII. XD

YES! Warriors Orochi is MINE!!! After running around from store to store, I finally was able to snatch my very own copy on the first day it was released! (Not to mention I got the last copy in the store, mwahaha!)

I have to try not to get too addicted to the game though; I remember when I first bought Samurai Warriors 2, I played for hours each day for at least two weeks straight! @_@ ...I really can't afford to spend so much time this year due to the increased amount of work at school. Let's hope that my resolve to work is strong enough! XD

I also bought a set of aromatherapy home oils and a plug-in electric fragrance diffuser. Now my room smells like strawberriesss!!! <3 I also bought coconut and green tea fragrance.

Yosh! I officially survived the first week of school and I have to say that I love MOST of my classes ---especially Spanish and Women in Popular Culture! <3

Today I learned how to count past 3 in Spanish and I expanded my (previously) 7 word vocabulary! XD Now I'm trying not to get confused with French pronounciation... I'm determined to add Spanish to my list of spoken languages!

Fortunately, Unfortunately...

FORTUNATELY...Ebony has risen from the grave! My lovely desktop computer that died sometime in the beginning of August has been reborn with an additional load of memory and RAM! ...If only I could bring it with me back to my university residence...

UNFORTUNATELY...even my one week holiday plans (it was supposed to be two weeks) have been jeopardized. It turned out that I had my practice teaching this week, so I'll be spending my very short 'summer vacation' in school with the little ones.

FORTUNATELY... Warriors Orochi is finally coming out for PS2 in about two weeks from now! I've been looking for a good stress-relieving video game ever since I beat Samurai Warriors 2! XD This game essentially merges Dynasty Warriors AND Samurai Warriors together, which means that I'll be able to kick butt with over 70 characters!!!

(A small) UNFORTUNATELY... another game that I've been eyeing for months, Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles 2, seems like quite a disappointment now that I've done a bit more research on it. I'm now debating whether or not to buy it...afterall, YOU DO GET TO PLAY AS NEJI!!! <3<3

(A BIG) FORTUNATELY... my friends are coming back from their home countries very soon! Even though it was only a four-month summer that we spent apart, it seriously felt like I haven't seen them in AGES!!! I MISS YOU GUYS!!!

It dawned on me that I absolutely hate my job (all the rushing, panicking, and constant bia-tching from my boss no matter what I do) and that I should find another one that will suit me a whole lot better!

My time working at the restaurant was just an experiment to see if I would be able to work faster than my regular snail's pace --- though the extra pocket money didn't hurt either XD. But since I'm naturally a carefree slowpoke, work became unpleasant...very quickly.

There really should be more than 1 waitress to serve 20 tables, manage take-out orders, work at the cash register, and clean (everywhere and everything except the kitchen area). It doesn't help that my boss OBSERVES my solo act for opportunities to dish out criticism.

Anyway, it's OVER! Done. C'est fini. [Insert triumphant laugh here]

Time Off from Work

For the past two days, I've been nursing a bruised and scraped back (the result from my fall down the stairs the other day). And what better way to cure an aching back than to recline in front of the TV and beat up monsters (Kyubi included!) in the world of Okami!

Although there STILL is a large chunk of the game to complete, I decided to get up for once....and sit somewhere else --- in front of my beloved computer! XD

It amazes me how much you've missed when you disconnect yourself from the world even for a short period of time...

Chrno is <3

Yesterday my friend and I watched all 24 episodes of Chrono Crusade in one sitting---(alongside our lovely stash of french fries, pizza, and blue berry custard cream cake, of course!)

I couldn't hold back my tears at the end. (I don't want to spoil it by elaborating! ^^0)

Although the plot didn't particularly appeal to me, the characters won me over. ~~Chrno is officially a member of my harem~~!!! XD

Now I'm just scared shitless at the very glimpse of those nasty hair-like legs.

...Should have done my research earlier, hehe...

On a brighter note, I've been convenience store hopping trying to exchange the giant load of coins (they tend to accumulate rather quickly when you work as a waitress) into some cash form that weighs a ton less. I've summed the experience into 5 easy steps.

Step 1: Buy a chocolate bar for $1.14
Step 2: Say, "I know you're going to hate me, but...."
Step 3: Proceed to dump a mountain of coins onto the counter
Step 4: Try to convince them that you've already counted them
Step 5: Recount them anyway. XD

After years of brainstorming and delay, I'm finally going to make a second attempt at drawing my own comic based on a complicated story I began formulating since 1999.

I think I've finally developed a consistent drawing style that I'm satisfied with (well, for now, anyway!). Since I'm lazy, the comic will be in black and white and will be updated..uh... periodically =P.

Let's see how far I can go with this one! *_*
